We, the undersigned, petition Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, to introduce traffic calming or speed reduction measures along Church Road, Tonteg. Speeding has become an increasing concern for residents on and around Church Road. This road positioned in a residential area, currently has no measures to reduce the speed of vehicles travelling through the village.

Rhondda Cynon Taff Council thinks they can ignore our safety while cars fly past our homes at lethal speeds. Their refusal to act is a slap in the face to every person living on Church Road who fears for their life every time they step outside.

The momentum we have built makes it impossible for the council to keep ignoring the dangerous speeding on Church Road. Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council has run out of excuses to keep putting our neighborhood at risk.

My children cross this road to school at the bottom of Ruthin Way and the speed some cars come over the brow of the ill is very dangerous and totally inconsiderate. I hope something can be done.
Speed cameras need to be put in place on both upper church road and main road Tonteg-church village as it's become a race track early mornings and late evening/night.
Absolutely shocking the speed that comes from the traffic down church road

The speeding that I have witnessed on this road is terrifying. I really hope something is done fast to prevent a terrible accident.
