My husband Christopher Renz has always wanted to join the military. Recently he was at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC, for MEPS/ASVAB. Despite an excellent score on the ASVAB and being in very fit physical condition, he was denied by the MEPS doctors because he has extra fat tissue on his left hand. This extra fat tissue does not impede his hand's performance in any way. I have begun this petition to send to our state senator Lindsey Graham in the hopes that he will assist us in helping Chris pass MEPS and enlist in the Air Force Reserves.

Ridiculous red tape. Let the man serve his country for gods sake.

This is ridiculous. If he can pass the physical tests and scored high on the ASVAB they should let him in. What a waste of a good soldier.

We need more people who actually want to enlist and work hard. The military is missing out on a great recruit here over something so stupid.

Total incompetence by the doctors. A little bit of fat tissue isnt going to stop him from doing his job in the reserves. Let Christopher serve!
