It's my understanding that BT have even gone so far as to install trial boxes in the area but have halted any progress for at least another 12 months.
There are a growing number of small businesses and employees who work from home in the area who are suffering as a result of the poor broadband speeds, including myself and my business.
As a business owner I would even be prepared to pay a premium for the improved service, but there appear to be no sensible and viable options available through Satellite, Cable or Telephone Line. Mobile Broadband seems the only reasonable option currently.
Chineham is one of the more affluent areas in Basingstoke and is situated next to Basingstoke's main Business Park, so why are we still bottom of the list for high speed broadband? If you are a small business owner, working from home or just an individual fed up with poor broadband, please sign this petition.

The volume of support has reached a level that allows me to request a formal meeting with BT infrastructure representatives. I am drafting a letter to the local council today to ensure they are aware of the collective demand for service upgrades.

Total incompetence. They put the boxes in and then just stop? Makes zero sense.
So fed up with the constant buffering. Paying full price for barely any service is a complete joke.
Please fix this. My kids cant even do their homework online because the connection drops every 5 minutes.
Ridiculous. How are we supposed to get anything done with these speeds in 2014? It is basically dial up at this point.
I moved to Chineham thinking it was a modern area for families but the internet is stuck in the dark ages. Embarrassing.
