- I call for Mr Osborne, headteacher, at Astley cooper school to revoke the installation of gates and locking of the toilets in the school. The only access will be on the ground floor giving 6 female and 6 male toilets for the whole school during lesson and in-between lessons. Only at break and lunch will other toilets be opened.

I have been reading your stories about the stress these bathroom restrictions cause during class and it confirms exactly why I started this. I am currently reaching out to the school board to demand a formal meeting about student dignity and basic health needs.

Seeing this movement grow reminds me how many of us are sick of seeing our kids treated like prisoners in their own hallways. I am honestly overwhelmed by the support and the stories you have reached out to share with me.

This is actually quite disturbing!! How can you have set times, what if you have incontinence issues and what about the poor girls who come on there period during a lesson it’s absolutely disgusting and the phones being locked away too my daughter has serious anxiety issues and sometimes needs me to talk her out or calm her down this school is getting to be a disgrace!!!!
This is not ok - they are human beings and as I have 2 girls I am shocked that they may have trouble going to the toilet in an emergency It makes me nervous to send my youngest to the school in future as she has bowel and bladder issues
With a child with additional needs who struggles to use the facilities when busy this policy is barbaric and will cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety
For a teenage girl having her cycle her body does not work to break and lunchtime only, my daughter in particular suffers with heavy periods and I’d hate the idea she’d have to wait until a break time to change, can you imagine how mortified she’d be if she had an accident in a classroom full of children!
My son has been hospitalised due to not being able to go to the toilet when he needed to and holding it in.
Think it's wrong that children have wait

Having 2 daughters at the school, I need to know that when they are on their periods, they can use the toilet when they need to without the risk of being told they can't and bleeding through their clothes. Being locked out of the toilets is disgusting!!
