Childcare and The Workplace
It is the belief that with the help of large businesses, employee childcare can be attainable. Nothing is more important than the well being and future of our children. However, many employees, specifically women, find themselves having to choose between career or parenthood and that shouldn\'t have to be the case. If businesses could provide childcare, or pay a substantial percentage of it, employees would take less time from work worrying about their children. Women would especially benefit from this because it would relieve some of the financial burden, and essentially lesson the amount of time spent out of the workplace, leaving room for advancement as well as promotion within the company. Our target will be local and state governmental officials. This petition\'s aim is to integrate some formal requirement for all large businesses with an employee base of 200 or more to provide or assist in paying for childcare for its employees.
