The momentum behind this petition is proving that diesel owners are done paying for Chevy's gross design negligence. We have reached a point where the manufacturer can no longer pretend this is just a minor inconvenience instead of a dangerous mechanical failure.

94 6.5 desiel turbo PMD has gone out been moved to fire wall now has gone out again.should never been put anywhere close to engine compartment.put it as far away from heat as possible
have a 1998 gmc sierra 3500 6.5 turbo diesel, have gone through 5 pmd's over the last year, stalls out when driving down the road, almost wrecked the truck trying to get it started again and to keep control while in the middle of traffic. THIS IS A LIFE AND DEATH SAFETY MATTER AND SHOULD BE REPAIRED SOMEHOW SO THIS PROBLEM WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!

I've been through 4 PMD's since 2004 for my 1996 3500 6.5 Turbo Diesel. I read comments by (hytasy), that is his internet name. He was on a team to fix the defects in the GMC PMD original design. The redesign was to correct problems in the failure modes ( Run-Away motor, stalling etc. ) The team redesigned the component grouping and they changed the noise suppressing method, which means to a electrical engineer, ( noise = heat ). This redesign in Dipaco, Kieth, Dorman, GM and maybe others since his work on redesigning work in 2011. Google (hytasy) on the internet and see his detailed information on the problem. Maybe GM should be paying for a new PMD replacements.
