First, I would like to thank you for keeping the servers running after your overtake on JoWood, for my favorite game of all time; Chaser. I never knew it actually required much work, contracts and such that it seems it does. But since recently you have cut the Gamespy support for the servers for Chaser and the demo, which came as a shock to many. Not only is Chaser widely played by its usual and hardcore fanbase, but every day new players would find the multiplayer demo, or the full game on Steam. Chaser still had over 150 unique players each day, which for an almost 10 (!) year old game is a lot! 2 weeks ago, me and other players traveled thousands kilometers, from Germany and the Netherlands, to Lisbon, where we had our first international Chaser meeting at the XLParty LAN. This was a great thing with 15 most dedicated players involved, and it is great to meet such good guys after playing with them for 9 years. But without your server support this would not be possible again. Other people have had contact with Cauldron, Gamespy and yourselves, but as of this day, the issue still remains. As for now, the problem is fixed by the fanbase by using a tool to join the servers without the need of Gamespy in game's support, but this will prevent new players from seeing any server and ever going online. Therefor, with the eye on the future of Chaser, I started this petition. I hope you will look into it, so we, and others, can play Chaser for another 10 years to come.

The fan-made tools keep us playing right now but they are not a long-term solution for new players finding the game. Send an email to the Nordic Games support desk today to demand a permanent fix for our server access.

Why shut it down when the fanbase is still so active?? doesnt make any sense to lose your player base like this.
