This petition is to change who can be sentenced to life under the 2 strike,and 3 strike laws. We need to create programs to give convicted felon's education, and job training so they can find jobs, and create a different life. We have all made mistakes in our lives so we should not be so quick to say who can and cannot change. If people commit crimes they have to do the time but just make sure that the time fits the crime!! I trust that we as Americans will think more of human beings than to compare someone's life to a baseball game -3 strikes and your out ...I believe that 2 strike ,and 3 strike sentencing should be used only for Rapist, Murderers, and Child molesters!! For these type of criminals cannot change and are a constant threat to our youth. However provide the tools for felons who do not fall in the category of Rapist, Murderer , or Child molester, and we will change society for the better.
