Memorial day weekend is a very busy time for many, it has proven to be the most traveled weekend in the entire year. Many families plan vacations on this weekend as a kickoff to the start of the unofficial summer. Attendance at prom is important to the students and their memories of high school. It would be very unfortunate to have to decide between prom and another commitment. Therefore, the prom should be moved to another Saturday in May.

My family goes to the lake every year for Memorial Day and now I have to miss prom entirely. This is so annoying.

My wedding is May 23. I have had the date picked since January. I have several cousins and two sisters in high school. My sister is a senior and she is my maid of honor. I originally wanted to get married in June but Oak Creek did not have a graduation date picked yet so to be safe I chose May. Now I have to deal with prom.
Change the date to a non holiday weekend!!

I already have a trip booked for my brothers graduation that weekend. cant believe they did this.
