To whom it may concern:

1) The selection process for this show has never been posted anywhere and the process as explained to me was not followed anyway.

2. The payout schedule. It doesn’t follow any listed in our rulebook and it’s unprecedented to receive a check just for participating.
3. Our Records. This show if let stand will skew records we have been building for 50 years. It’s not fair to the riders and horses that currently rank in our record books to be surpassed by one exhibition.
4. The vote on this event. Members of the board with a conflict of interest regarding this event should have recused themselves from the vote however, they did not. It is a conflict of interest plain and simple.
5. Transparency. There is NONE at the moment on any of this.

My hope is with members such as myself voicing our concerns that NRHA Board members call an emergency meeting. I would hope that history didn’t repeat itself and that those board members who this event directly effects would do the moral and right thing and recuse themselves from the vote and vote on this matter again.

I would love to see this event held and successful however I think earnings should be acknowledged in another category all together and shouldn’t count for LTE on horse or rider.

Reaching five hundred signatures will show the board that our concerns regarding transparency and record integrity are shared by a significant portion of this community. Please consider bringing this petition to the attention of those you ride with as we prepare to present this collective message at the next opportunity.

The momentum building behind this request shows how deeply our community cares about maintaining the integrity of our historical records. We are nearing the one hundred signature mark and reaching this milestone will demonstrate to the board that our concerns regarding transparency cannot be ignored.

I LOVE the event and the support that they are giving the NRHA, BUT NRHA should not have earnings count since it is invitational and not based on any kind of fair selection process....it could be on their record but with an asterisk and not counted towards LTE

60527. Please make the right choice and uphold our history. Add a category for invitational events. Not really fair to hand pick players to play a game and let then leap frog so many that work thier butts off in one event. Horses, riders, owners, and breeders are effected.

PERFORMANCE RECORDS ARE THE FOUNDATION AND LEGACY ARE THE NRHA. We are in support of the Run For The Million event, but we DO NOT support the NRHA approving the earnings in a way that does not include an opportunity for all members to participate. Most sincerely, Leonardo Arcese, Lifetime Member

#75630. Love the exposure of the event. But do not agree with including winnings into LTE. Opens the door to people holding select invitationals and boosting their horses and riders all over the board

I am in partnership with a coming 3 yr old Futurity colt. He is eligible for darn near everything. If this comes to pass, we will not be involved with the NRHA period. This is WRONG on so many levels.

Great exposure for the sport but to count the $ towards LTE of horse, rider or owner of a few select people who were hand picked & didn't have to qualify is NOT right for the whole organization. And more concerning is the conflict of interest of the BOD & EC who decided this

NRHA 60134 The event would bring attention and exposure farther reaching audiences because of the platform provided by Yellowstone and other generous sponsors. I am planning to attend with full support of those sponsors with one caveat. Since there was not a qualification process outlined or performed and the contestants were by invitation only not by competition, any earnings should NOT be counted toward LTEs. The NRHA earnings have historically been determined by competition and changing that now unravels the "fair" aspect of true competition and undermines the integrity of the organization.
