I think that it is SO UNFAIR that if my bra strap is showing I will have to change. One of my favourite shirts has a spider-back, now I can NEVER wear it because of the the strap rule

There are too many rules over unimportant things that at the end of the day make no difference.

Let them speak. This is a great way to teach critical thinking and communication skills. Most of all listen to what they have to say.

Any dress code that puts the owness on girls to cover themselves in a way that is different from boys is discriminatory. Teach boys to be respectful and to control themselves, it is not up to the girl to make boys comfortable.

I went to a high school where during reading time at the beginning of English class, the teacher would regularly have the FEMALES stand up and put our hands up to make sure our shirts were long enough. Once a bra strap fell beyond a plenty-thick tank top sleeve and I was taken out of class to go home and change. My boyfriend could wear lower cut and tighter shirts than I could. I spent MY WHOLE TIME there completely distracted that I might accidentally flash some belly while enjoying playing some tag or getting something out of my locker, or that today the admin would decide my shorts were too short and they would humiliate me by taking me out of class. THANK YOU young women for standing up!

Good for you young ladies! never be afraid to stand up for yourselves and your peers while addressing rules and policies that selectively are more of a burden to one subsection of the population than others. Your collective voices are powerful!
