I'm all in support of dresses codes that don't shame girls (or anyone)!

Not showing bra straps really got to me. I have an MBA, and I can assure you that purposefully or not, a bra strap has creeped from my very clothing, and pretty much every other woman who wears one. I can't imagine how I would have felt being called out by a teacher or anyone else for this "infraction", but not good.

Start now and stand up for yourselves!

I wholeheartedly agree. A dress code may be required that is applicable to both genders and should address topics like Text/language printed on T-shirt’s. Anything that is specific to what a girl can/cannot wear should be removed.

Girls bodies do not determine if males can learn. End sexism in schools.

I'm the mom to both a boy and a girl. And I'm telling you this is a boy problem, not a girl problem. Enough already.

School policies that put more emphasis on how a girl dresses instead of teaching boys respect and how consent works only perpetuates rape culture. We owe our kids more than this.

Keep changing the world, ladies!!!

Girls and their clothing are not responsible for being a distraction. If boys are distracted, address that with the boys. Every time you take a girl out of class, or you use school time for conversations about what girls are wearing, you are telling them that their education is not as important as the boys, that they are responsible for how other people react. They are not. Be very aware of the message you are sending.

So glad the girls are wanting to discuss such important topics!

Open conversation is always the right answer!!
