This is dangerous and scary!! If we parents are paying people to take care of our child/children, they should be licensed with thorough background check. First aid and CPR certification is a must!!!!!

I used to work in childcare and think this is absolutely absurd. Children need safety and they need educated teachers/providers. Parents need to know that their children are safe and not in the care of just anyone.

Child safety is the priority and this bill lacks necessary elements to ensure that priority remains.

This bill is not in the interest of children. After all the rule changes for legally licensed providers to give higher standard of care you come up with this? Who would benefit, not the children of Colorado.

Children are at rick with this bill. Please don't not pass this unsafe bad choice! Children are our future, not our burden.

As a provider as well as a parent, I find this bill to be extremely scary. No training and no background checks to watch up to 4 children? That is putting children at risk! Not just physically and mentally but as well as developmentally. Children need activities and structure and someone not willing to put the work into being licensed is most likely not going to give that attention to the kids in their care.

The State of Colorado was making some big changes to rules and regulations to bring higher quality child care to families. It is my opinion that this law defeats the progress the state was heading.

As someone who has witness the horrific lifetime effects of children abuse of a family member by a so-called "caregivers" I am shocked that a state that has put so much effort into improving the quality of childcare( race to the top) would then consider allowing children to be cared for by people with no training of safety checks. Is this a reflection of how under valued the safety of child is in Colorado. If it is I am ashamed of this state.

Unlicensed providers who receive state funding should also be receiving visits from the state as well as be required to provide nutritional meals!

Strongly oppose this bill. Not good for Colorado children. Change in name only and not requirements!

This is very dangerous for Colorado Children, to have such a big loophole and not ensure that child care providers are background checked, FBI Finger Printed, have had training in CPR and First Aid, basically saying anyone anywhere can open a child care and care for 4 children. Do these four children's lives not matter

At a MINIMUM, please require background checks and no more than 2 under 2 ratio for in-home providers.
