Please sign this petition to make our road safer! It is currently 70km, meaning people drive it at 79km. We don't feel safe walking on the footpath as there have been quite a few accidents on this stretch of road lately. Council are dragging their heels and we feel it needs changing BEFORE someone gets killed!

Especially dangerous coming out of Adler Drive, and Boscabel, as there are blind corners both ways and traffic is often still travelling at 90km plus coming from upper Ohauiti.
I often cross this road with my 3 & 1yr old right where accidents seem to happen in 70kph zone. Lower speed limit is logical where its all residential
We live very close to Poike Road corner on Ohauiti Road. The speed of the traffic is up around the 80k sometimes... unbelievable. I thought also that a speed camera out there might help slow it down. The noise the traffic creates also is phenomenal.

Keep our roads safe. I use this road sometimes coming home from work.
Totally agree, people ignore the speed limit the length of Ohauiti road!
I am always surprised that in such a residential section the speed limit is not lower.

This is a residential area with children and families- too many times cars come racing down and we have had two serious accidents in the last 10months where lives could have been lost - Speed Kills
