Change Middle Creek High School's Lunch Policy!

The lunch policy for juniors and seniors at Middle Creek High School is unacceptable as it currently stands. Having 45 minutes for lunch not only creates a rushed and unhappy atmosphere, but for those who drive off campus, it creates a *very dangerous driving situation*. Students are sprinting to their cars and driving off campus as quickly as possible in order to get back to class in time. It's only a matter of time before someone becomes involved in a serious car accident resulting in bodily injury or worse. Even if your son or daughter currently is an underclassman and is not driving to school, this situation will eventually affect them, too.
Aside from the dangers of this short lunch period, our existing policy's timeframe does not allow for students to consult with teachers AND get a lunch break like at other area county high schools. For example, Panther Creek has been getting 1 1/2 hours lately, but they MAY change back soon to their 54 minute lunch. Athens Drive has 50 minutes & Holly Springs has 57 minutes. I know that doesn't sound like much time difference, but you & I know differently!
