The student council finally folded and moved the dance to Saturday where it belongs. We forced them to listen to our needs instead of their own outdated plans. Enjoy the extra time to get ready.
It has been long traditioned that the ITM HOCO dance is on the Friday of homecoming. However, the entire Student Council voted recently to now host the dance on Saturday.
Reason to change:
1) Time to decorate Sat morning.
2) Athletes/Cheer/Student body will have time to look their best for this semi-formal event.
The student body is finally speaking up and the administration cannot keep ignoring this demand. This momentum proves that we refuse to let the Student Council dictate our schedule without a fight.

It give us time to get ready and we don’t have to stress about smell or the boys being exhausted.

It’s more convenient for those who are involved in different sports and events in Friday night’s game! This is an amazing idea.

Band has a competition the day after the game early in the morning and a lot of band wants to go to the dance so it would be nice if it was the next day. Thank you and goodnight

Homecoming should be on Saturday so that everyone has time to get ready and won’t be sweaty since if it was on Friday everyone would be sweaty and only have 2 hours to get ready

Friday makes no sense. Many students are involved with the football game and have to clean up their stuff after the game.

With over 100 people directly involved with the game it gives band, players, cheer, trainers, and rough necks time to shower and whatever necessary to attend as they wish. With even more students spectatoring this allows them to enjoy the entire game and still dress up for the dance.
Our band also has a competition the following morning, leaving them with a difficult choice as to whether or not they can attend a dance after a 10 o'clock game.
Overall I believe this gives everyone more opportunities to participate as they wish.
