As a student body we feel that having Homecoming on the most religious Jewish Holliday, Yom Kippur, is unfair to the Jewish students and their dates, for they will not be able to participate due to the fact they will be fasting. Homecoming dances are supposed to unite the school and bring spirit, however the current date of the dance will not allow this to be possible. It is injust and wrong to continue with this date, because the issue has been mentioned to the administration. This petition will be sent out to students and families of Alpharetta high school and other schools.
