CHANGE HOCO FOR MY FRIENDS! It's not right that our fellow Jewish Teens wouldn't be able to attend. It's not that hard to change the date of a party so do it!!

This is completely insensitive to jewish people because lord knows yall wouldn't do the same if it was a Christian holiday

The date should be changed. On Yom Kippur I will be fasting & this isn't my school but if it was I wouldn't be able to go because i'd be at synagogue. Shows how much they care about jewish student body. This needs to be changed so it is an inclusive homecoming.

Seriously, as a jew I have had to miss state wide tests because the school board only cares about if it falls in a Christian holiday. Everyone can google and see that this is the most important Jewish holiday, care about people outside your faith.

This is a disgrace. Administration should change the date to allow ALL students to attend! If the issue has been brought up to the administration and they still refuse to change it, might I suggest going to the press. AJC, Jewish Times and several of the tv stations would be VERY interested in this, they were several years ago when I went to them about getting the date of the CRCT changed from having it on Rosh Hashanah and as soon as it was in the paper and on the news, they were very cooperative and the date was magically changed.

its not fair to take that opportunity away from people by putting homecoming on a jewish holiday.

This petition shouldn't be necessary. It seems like a no-brainer that the date needs to be changed if it falls on the holiest day of the year for a major, established religion.
