Got a speeding ticket on this road the day they changed it for doing 70km/h a $40 ticket and insurance jump for doing 10km/h under what the road has always been... Pathetic Belleville and you wonder why you can't raise money like you could 5 years ago

I feel this speed limit change was not necessary and wish for it to be put back to 80 km/h... I also would like to add a comment that Airport Parkway's speed limit changed to 60 km/h awhile ago, & was not necessary and should be changed back to 80 km/h as well.... Thanks

I am so sure that this change is just a cash grab in the crooked justice system in hastings countty just to pad the pockets of the o.p.p.

I find it frustrating in areas that were 80k that are now 60k and I ask why. it seems only a minority of residents wants it or some reason it is a very flimsy and poor excuses to lower the limit.There is no reason to lower the limit on HWY 2 or even on Walbridge etc. The only benefit would be a cash grab for police because most will still do the 80k as I do

I travel this road daily from Shannonville to Belleville. The police need to ticket the speeders doing over 80 km ... not everyone should be punished by having the speed limit stuck at 60 km.

i see more potential accidents with the speed limit change. Many frustrated drivers trying to pass in unsafe spots. Someone tried to pass me at Mitchell cross road in the Lafarge turning lane on the corner!!

This really slows down the traffic movement, and there is no call for it to be sixty unless to help police up their quota each month!

All this has done is created a cluster of road rage and a hot speed trap for the OPP. Not to mention the fact that there is enough accidents on the 401...so lets push commuters to use it more...DUMB!!!
