As seen with penalty decisions from the start of the season, most notably the late penalty given to Newcastle for the “handball” perpetrated by Eric Diet on 9/27/2020, it is clear that this ruling is deteriorating the quality of the game. We ask that the FA and the Premier league instruct officials to:
- Rescind this ruling instruction
- Change the use of VAR to correcting CLEAR and OBVIOUS infringements which have been missed by on field officials
- Instruct referees to use good sense and judgement when adjudicating based on VAR

We love the game of football and recognize that technology can help it grow. We ask the league and the FA to consider that this inadequate use of technology is having the opposite effect and is hindering the ability of fans to enjoy the game.
