Eastern High Schools grading system was changes last year to a system that unfairly weights and often has a negative impact on students grades. This way of grading makes it more difficult for students, especially ones who are not good test takers, to get good grades in school. Nearly all students, teachers and parents in the community dislike and disagree with this unfair way of grading. This petitions purpose is to get administrators attention as to how many people disagree with the current grading policy and to then change this policy to one that resolves the issues of the current system and benefits students in the Eastern community.

I have been reviewing the feedback provided by families regarding the impact of the current grading policy. These accounts highlight the genuine challenges students face when balancing academic performance and this new assessment model. I am currently preparing a formal letter to present these findings to the administration.

THIS IS SO UNFAIR. tests shouldn't count for the whole grade.
i hate the new grading policy. it makes no sense at all.
please bring back the old way of doing things. we all want it back.
my grades have dropped so much since they changed the weights. really stressful.
my gpa is taking a huge hit because of this new system. please fix this asap.
I believe that this should happen in all schools across NJ!

doing this for my little brother who is struggling so much right now
