I’ve used elf for 20 years and don’t want to remap my car for another fuel that is more expensive

How can this work when every competitor has different requirements for engine ie mapping is completely different for every engine, also where and when has there ever been a fire in a service area?

Disgraceful move, no thought given to the clubmen of rallying without whom there would be no rallies, hillclimbs, sprints or track days not to mention j1000 and Dacia challenge!

I use elf and my car is mapped for elf.
I also buy my fuel in a pallet at a time. Im sitting with a full pallet of elf. Why not do like the Uk and allow more than 1 supplier. Ive no issue with the designated fuel area but allow more than 1 supplier if there is more? And allow competitors to dispense their own fuel in the designated area. Maybe this is allowed and its just not clear.

Absolute nonsense idea fueled by greed and monetary kick backs to those involved.

This move is totally unwarranted,
The cost to the average competitor will double and force many to simply give up to the detriment of the rally organisers and the sport in general.
This move is unwarranted of safety grounds as firstly to the best of my knowledge there has never been a fire or safety issue relating to re fuelling in the service area. Furthermore if there ever is a fire or safety issue in the now proposed re fuel zone it would be a timebomb waiting to happen. Can you imagine the devastation and detrimental media coverage to our sport !

We need price competition. I agree with a refuel zone for safety. Any fuel suppliers should have access to refuel zone just like tyre suppliers. The proposed situation creats a monopoly

Unfair to clubman who are strugling to get a car to an event as it is, irish rallying was built on clubman and is in a string place because of that, I rally a 11f honda civic at moment im runing panta 102 mix going off yesterday's prices it is costing €2.91 a litre, charging over double is ridiculous
