Science fair opportunities should not be forced on AP science students.AP students have decides to put their records on the line to challenge themselves in hopes of reaching academic success. Not only does this place us students at an inconvenience, it only says that the people in charge of making these decisions do not take into account that AP students are already over-loaded with their work, have extracurricular activities to tend to, and who have, and who have a life to enjoy while they are still young.

Science fair is an amazing experience. It puts us in the perspective of actual scientists as we work to achieve our questions. Any student to achieve great heights with the science fair can put themselves at a great advantage towards their success. However, it is psychologically proven that someone does a much better job at something when when they are motivated to do so. The question is where's the motive?
