Please keep JROTC as a mandatory class for freshman and sophomores. I believe this program truly helps develop leadership skills, responsibility, group participation while maintaining traditions at Central Catholic High School. Why is this even open to discussion ?

I oppose the administration's descision to undo the very traditions Central Catholic was built upon. It isn't the school's problem enrollment is down, its the fact that young men are becoming weak individuals.

I like others was very hesitant when confronted with the idea of going to a school where I had to participate in JROTC. I had no intent of joining the military or anything having to do with the military. After a few shaky months, and some straightening out by the NCOs, I was sold. I honestly could not imagine my life another way. It is because of 1SGs Guzman and Carrion that I attended college and commissioned in the Army. MAJ Ulrich and the two previously mentioned NCOs were motivation to graduate from both Sapper and Ranger School (even with a broken ankle). I just completed two Commands, one Commanding the US Army Sapper School and in 1st BDE 82nd Airborne Division, and two deployments to both COEs. Thank you for all the experience that you bestowed on me! I would not be the man I am today if it wasn't for the JROTC department and excellent instructors.
