The current legal speed limit on Center Hill Road (County Route 7A) is 45 miles per hour [MPH] from Brown's Dam to the intersection at Main Street (also County Route 7A). Advisory speeds are 20MPH at the dam, and 30MPH near the intersection of Center Hill and Mountain View Road. The proposed county bridge/highway rehabilitation project slated to begin later this year will not change the road geometry in any significant way and advisory speeds will remain the same. We the undersigned, call on the Town of Copake to petition the state of New York to lower the legal speed limit on Center Hill Road from Brown's Dam to Main Street to 30 miles per hour.
