The council confirmed today that they are installing CCTV in the cemetery. We forced them to take this seriously and protect the graves of our loved ones. Keep an eye on the installation progress and contact me if you see any delays.

A lot of bereaved people have been affected by vandalism in the Bishop Auckland town cemetery and by the deliberate desecration of graves. We are respectfully asking people to sign this petition for the installation of cctv cameras to help identify any wrongdoing. Thank you for your support

Too many graves have been vandalised and things have been stolen from graves! It isn't fair the cemetery is for people to rest not a play ground!
My friends daughter is resting here and they have had vile individuals removing things. I lost my baby grandson in march and would welcome cctv in my town too
My mum is buried here and it's one of the most beautiful spots in Bishop Auckland and we should be able to take comfort in being able to lay our loved ones to rest and know it's a safe and secure area .
I really hope cameras are installed, my daughters grave has been stolen from among many others. I hope people can just imagine the pain families are going through and sign the petition, stop the theft and vandalism it's up to you all.
My mam and dad are buried there and several pot angels and vases have been smashed on their grave ,its disgusting, what's this world coming to when you have to put CCTV in a cemetery of all places .
Needs it up there I sick of my family's grave being trashed and seeing others the same way
Needs cctv asap ppls angels restin places gettin vandeled by thugs

I’m signing this because as a grieving mother I know how it feels to have your Babies grave vandalised and No parents should have to deal with that on top of losing a child!!!
