Islamophobia is a rising epidemic that is destructive to our communities and our nation. We must actively fight hate perpetrated against the Muslim community. Just as we must stand against hate perpetrated against any group of people on the basis of their religion, race, sexual orientation or gender identity. Reaching this level of visibility takes a heavy toll but I am grateful to see that so many of you insist on holding this ground with me. The exhaustion is real yet the momentum proves we are not fighting in a vacuum.
