Why dont they dónate a page in classified section for the unemployed to register for the Job they are seeking so prospective employers can pick and choose an employee? Now that would be showing fairness!

I Gwendolee Goff I am very disappointed and insulted which this cartoon, as a Caymanian unemployed in this country. I will not been buying anymore compass until a public apology is written to us. This is ashamed that after we make you all Caymanians this is how we are treated shame shame

You insult the Caymanian people almost daily with your barrage of discrimination and propaganda. Your cartoon is highly offensive. it serves only to feed the negative stereotypes, untruths and sweeping generalizations about the caymanian human capital specifically and caymanians generally. If you don't like the people of the country you have made your home then i suggest you get out of the publishing business. There is no room for your bias, hateful rants disguised as objective journalism. We frown on your business for being so reckless with the mighty pen that we have entrusted you with. Yes we welcomed you here.

The cartoon itself was offensive enough to those of us who are fighting the unemployment battle for friends and family, or personally, but this response from the cartoonist himself, George "Barefoot Man" Novak, was enough to seal the deal on my decision to sign this petition: "Why are some people so stupid?” he asked as he queried exactly what was offensive about the cartoon. Shame, shame, shame.

Freedom of expression is a privilege, and one that should not be used as a tool in a manner that would demoralize an already very vulnerable part of our society. Perhaps this negative charge could be replaced by becoming better corporate citizens in a manner that would not be interpreted as "kick em while they're down". Bullying comes in many forms. Disappointed and appalled.

As the national paper of the Cayman Islands bearing it's name you have a responsibility to be sensitive to the people of the Cayman Islands. While you sit in your high offices there are people out there that are struggling to keep a roof over their heads, food in the mouths of their children. Maybe the reason is because you have why you cannot see what its like to not have. Shame on you for being so shortsighted.
