Cayman Compass Petition - Caymanians standing up against discrimination!

As the national paper of the Cayman Islands bearing it's name you have a responsibility to be sensitive to the people of the Cayman Islands. While you sit in your high offices there are people out there that are struggling to keep a roof over their heads, food in the mouths of their children. Maybe the reason is because you have why you cannot see what its like to not have. Shame on you for being so shortsighted.

Everyone has their opinions and the right to express them however as a Newspaper the Compass should strive to be unbiased, fair and nondiscriminatory. I was once an unemployed Caymanian and the stereotype that is shown by the COmpass not just once, but multiple times is so unfair and cruel to the unemployed people that truly are suffering, in need and deserve a job. I am tired of feeling like the joke in my own country. (Find me a country that does not have at least one person that is delinquent or refuse to work) Born and raised here and by as a Caymanian, I was raised to value hard work and good work ethic. Not only will I stop purchasing the Compass, I refuse to visit their website or read any articles that comes from them (I know that each click on their website is valuable to them and means money). Caymanians deserve respect, We may not all be perfect - who is? I for sure we don't deserve to treated to unfairly in our own country!

Standing up for every Caymanian child that has been made to feel inferior, simply because he/she is Caymanian. Yes, I refuse to purchase another Compass until an apology is issued.

In a time when unification of all things Cayman is necessary, The irresponsible actions of the authories at the Compass and the cartoonist have made the decision to drive the wedge even further in. I stand firmly against the artist and editor.
