Dear Senators and Representatives, We have heard elected officials say that they are there to decide man's laws and not God's laws, but the fact is that man's laws are based on God's laws. When our God-given sense of right and wrong is set aside, cultures die and souls are lost. In this light, many bills have been introduced recently that clearly have no other intention than to control in a manner inconsistent with the founding of this nation. The vast majority of our population is not same-sex attracted and does not want an immoral lifestyle elevated to the level of traditional marriage which is only between a man and a woman. Yet, this false definition of marriage is being forced on us as a state & nation. Gun bills being introduced are furiously trying to limit every person, instead of looking at the horrific side-effects of psychiatric medications the majority of shooters have been on. The obvious inefficacy of laws as concerns the criminal element, who by definition do not obey the law to begin with, is glaring. The current bills being introduced only detract from the average citizen maintaining a constitutional right. The fact that our children can legally be slaughtered in their mother's womb is a great evil that is tearing at the fabric of our society. Without the fundamental right to life, we have no rights. All other rights stem from this founding principle. We encourage you to limit abortion as bills come to vote, including its outlawing. We want you to know that we will support you and stand behind you when you fight for our freedoms as defined by the traditional moral framework of this country's history. We are being crushed by the weight of iniquity, and you are the army we have sent to Denver to fight for us. Please do not allow yourselves to be used by a cause that seeks to control and force us into submission. We will pray for you in this ever important endeavor. Catholic Allies in Truth
