Dear Neighbors,

We are Alberto Cabré and Angelina Jockovich a married couple from Puerto Rico and Colombia, respectively, and residents of Somerville for past seven years.  We are the owners of Casa B an upcoming restaurant in Somerville’s Union Square. 

We envision Casa B as a Spanish Caribbean tapas and pinchos restaurant that will  provide the community with a casual yet high-quality tapas style atmosphere and full service dining. It will represent Union Square’s diversity, attracting surrounding neighborhoods and cities with an eating and drinking establishment that focuses on all flavors of Latin America, embracing the romanticism and warmth of the Spanish Caribbean while promoting social interaction.

The food at Casa B include the reinterpretation of traditional recipes that go well accompanied by wine and spirits.  The wine selection will feature a diverse and thorough list of unique yet approachable wines, cavas and sherry wines from Latin America and Spain, which will lend itself perfectly to the relaxed style of dining. A specialty cocktail menu will focus on traditional drinks from Central and South American, and will feature Rums from Puerto Rico, and specialty liquors from Latin America.

We see that our restaurant will promote the sense of diversity within the city and strengthening the Squares’ market and esthetic image, while also embracing the city’s vision of the Square of promoting its economical growth. We are applying for an All Forms Alcoholic Beverages 7 Day Restaurant License and want to reach out to you in hopes of gaining your support for this exciting venture.
