I do believe the kids need some "normal" in all of this and this may mean a snow day.

Good Morning, Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate hearing your feedback. Snow days are not always going to be cancelled moving forward. Since we can continue virtual learning, we are able to have school days count even when we are experiencing inclement weather. I felt that since we had time to prepare for today and because a long winter break is only a week away, it would be beneficial to continue with virtual learning today. This way, we have more flexibility later in the year with regards to snow days/making up days missed. I announced the two-hour delay schedule to allow extra time in the morning for shoveling, etc. I hope this was helpful to families. Snow days are fun and exciting. As a snow lover, I am with you on that! We are going to balance snow days and virtual learning days this year to maximize teaching and learning, while minimizing the number of days we must make up later in the year.
