I strongly oppose the disruption of communities, families and businesses! It doesn’t pass the common sense test!

This will greatly impact the neighborhood I live in and I’m opposed to disrupting lives of elderly people on our community

The proposed route 4 option makes no sense when other alternatives are available. This will affect residential and businesses that were developed over the years that made this area so special.

The 904 option makes absolutely no sense. Disruption to long standing Ocean Ridge community and town of Sunset Beach.

Do not destroy our neighborhood! We chose Ocean Ridge Plantation and do mot want it chopped up. There is plenty of land available on the other side of Rt. 17 that would not negatively impact out neighborhood and golf courses.

This directly affects the development that we reside in

I oppose Route 4. It negatively effects Ocean Ridge Plantation destroying homes and parts of golf course as well as negativity impacting other community businesses.

This is an outrageously designed proposal especially tearing down custom homes on Ocean Ridge, tearing existing golf courses apart, and dismantling businesses along Rt 17. Local and state representatives should be ashamed of themselves for considering such a proposal.

This is an outrageous project proposal and any local or state representatives should be fired for even considering acquiring any properties in Ocean Ridge or disrupting businesses along Rt 17!

This route would negatively impact the entire area.

Bring it into 17 where there aren’t any homes or businesses! It would probably be cheaper?

I do not support route 4. Too many people and businesses affected compared to route 4A

I do not support the Carolina Bays 31 extension using route 4 or the conversion of US 17 into an interstate highway in this area due to the impact to local communities, businesses, churches and the environment. Undeveloped land inland should be used for CB's 31 extension and run parallel to US 17 further NW.

I am opposed to Route 4 being the designated route for the highway extension NCDOT Project 5876. This proposed highway route will destroy existing homes, wipe out local vital businesses, and threaten natural lands. This choice poses a significant threat to the well-being of my community and my quality of life as it wipes out the entire front part of the Ocean Ridge Plantation community. It displaces some of my neighbors, destroys property values for the rest of the community, and has economic consequences of uprooting established local businesses in the area ultimately harming the economy of Brunswick County. The choice of Route 4 will create more traffic congestion on Route 17 negatively impacting access to medical services, fire services, places of worship, and schools, and will increase the noise for the residents in the area. It seems the goal is to keep traffic away from 17 and eventually connect to I-40. I strongly feel a route further inland should be chosen where there is more open land for a major interstate highway exchange and less negative impact on the community by avoiding the destruction of people’s homes and the wiping out of local businesses.

There is no benefit to NC for Carolina Bays 31 to be routed to Hwy 17 at 904. More sense would be to keep it parallel to Hwy 17 and connect at 211 in Supply or even 140 near Leland.

We did not move to this area to have our community, church and entire area demolished. Stop all the overbuilding of new housing so there is no need for the extension!!
