The cost to communities and loca; businesses appear to outweigh the slection of this route vs the alternatives.

I am in opposition to the proposed route 4 corridor for the extension of the Carolina Bays Parkway (SC31) into coastal Brunswick County. This route has the potential for adversely impacting my home value, my community, my quality of life, and many of the businesses and services that I rely upon. Additionally, the proposed routing will likely create more traffic congestion and noise for the residents in the area. The proposed corridor will cut through existing neighborhoods, destroy property values, ruin the local esthetics, impact accessibility to the community, schools and fire districts services, as well as wipe out a wide range of local small businesses. I do not see this route being an advantage to the residents of Brunswick County.

Route 4A is significantly better with much less disruption to houses, churches, businesses, etc.

As stated by me, in writing, and others years ago - this whole study is flawed from the initial conditions. LOOK at the red box! The east end of the box needs to be opened, inland. The idea is to keep long haul traffic away from 17 and to eventually connect to I-40.

Agree to not support conversion of US 17 into an interstate highway.

I am categorically opposed to the conversion of US17 into an interstate HWY or the construction of massive interstate interchanges on US17. Its negative impacts will be felt not only to the Ocean Ridge Community I am soon going to be moving to, but to area local businesses, religious houses of worship and medical facilities. I respectfully implore the powers that be to please let common sense and careful consideration prevail and reexamine the alternative inland route along with additional infrastructure.

Unconscionable that this option would be considered given its negative impact on our long standing community and other viable options

We purchased our home in Ocean Ridge community having no idea that it could be destroyed by a highway. It is not fair to the neighbors that would be displaced and the golf course which would be destroyed. There is plenty of land that can be used that would not destroy our neighborhood which we all paid a lot o f money to live in.

With the continuous growth in the area and infrastructure not up to date to support I think the idea of destroying more wildlife area to accommodate the highway is not ideal, we need to fix current problems in the area before allowing our tax payer dollars to fund a highway that will destroy an area that many people have come to love.

Have you calculated how many more jobs will be lost if you construct route #4 vs #4a. 100's. Route 4 NO Route 4a YES

4A is the only option on the current purposed routes that makes sense. This route impacts the fewest busineses' and housing. 904 & OIB roads, direct roads to beache,s already are traffic nightmares and only going to get worse with the over-development already approved by the county.

Makes no sense to buy up expense real estate and businesses near the ocean while more reasonable rural land can be procured inland.
