April 20, 2013 Today marks the darkest hour for human kind for us. Today morning most of us woke up to the cries of a mother of a five-year old girl. The same five-year old who was brutally raped and held captive by her own neighbour. She has suffered massive injuries and disfiguration of her genitals and will need reconstructive surgery of her private parts. Doctors recovered foreign objects from inside her (candle and an oil bottle). Her vagina was torn upto her anus. While we shudder reading this, someone did this to her without probably batting even an eyelid. What do you do with someone like this? Has he not already killed her? Will we ever know the stigma she will live with for the rest of her life? What wrong did she do to deserve this? Are you comfortable sending your daughter to school now? Or to your neighbour's house? For how long will we bear this? What gives the right to this man to live now? Nirbhaya shook us all just a few months ago but we have not learnt our lessons it seems. The Police is as careless and insensitive, the government is as non complacent as ever and we are all busy in our lives. Please take 5 minutes out of your busy schedule and sign this petition to the PRESIDENT, PRIME MINISTER, CHIEF MINISTER & SUPREME COURT demanding CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR THE MONSTER WHO DID THIS TO A FIVE YEAR OLD BABY. Let us stand together with this girl with our prayers and small bit of humanity.
