It's a changing city that needs to conform with the changes.

In favor or allowing one boat or one rv to be parked in driveway of single family residence. No commercial or tractor and trailers should not be allowed.

Should also include RV's

Commercial vehicles and boats should be allowed on private property! We are hard working residents who want to stay, but we can't if we can't bring a work truck home. Please change the rules! We love the cape!

We need change to allow boats and RV's to park in driveways...no commercial or tractor trailer parking.

Any properly registered vehicle boat, motor home, non powered recreational vehicle, or single rear axle work vehicle should be allowed to be parked on your property if it is road worthy.

If CC wishes to continue growth (and I presume they do), the powers that be need to realize that hundreds of miles of canals attract boaters WITH BOATS!. I'd rather see a tastefully painted work vehicle parked next door than one that has huge white magnets covering the logo. Working people with work vehicles have money to spend and keep up their properties. They have a stake in their neighborhood. I know several people who avoided purchasing in the Cape just because of these regulations. It is a shame since CC ordinances seem to be at odds with CC planning goals.

This out dated city ordinance needs change

I support a change to allow a boat or commercial vehicle to be parked in your driveway. The law is archaic, do a search of registered cars, cans and truck when the ordinance was enacted. Times have changed and so have the vehicles that residents are now driving.

Cape Coral needs to recognize their thriving community is also a working and boating community. A good position for Cape to take would be, "Helping our neighbors work smart and play hard, is an idea that works for us". Single rear axle work vehicles, boats trailers and RV's that are properly registered should not present a threat to community code makers, but an opportunity to define a realistic approach to our community needs. Even a permit system with minimal fees for sticker production and management should help keep inoperable junk (even cars) out of the neighborhoods if they are not properly registered or stored in a garage.
