I'd like to grow in Cape Coral but with these boat ordinances I would rather rent my house in Cape and move else where. How is seeing a boat in front of a house, IN FLORIDA, going to lower property values? It's not 1980, $250 for a week's worth of food, or storing a boat?

I believe that as long as the boat is not in disrepair , there is nothing wrong with allowing boat and trailer in driveway or side yard / backyard .

We used to live up north in PGH PA…we loved boating with the “3 rivers”…we hope that the city here would reconsider boats in driveways..I know ALOT of people that can not get a boat on the side or rear of the house due to the slopes and swales…I feel as long as boats are UTD on registration and fully insured, we should be allowed to have a boat on our driveways…we had to pay a fee to put up an American flag/pole, so why couldn’t we pay a small fee to keep our boats in our driveways?…kind of like a parking permit that is paid yearly?…if a boat is not registered/insured I feel a 7 day notice to update or remove said boat would be in order, any future violation would result in fines?…it’s not that hard, keep the verbiage easy and simple…

There has to be a compromise that benefits all of the Capes residents. Nobody is for allowing broken down, "junky" boats or vehicles, but these draconian ordinances do not serve our citizens.

It is time to think about working people. Not all Florida residents are retirees.

We are a hard working family. My husband is an AC Tech and part of the compensation is to drive his work van. We have to pay out of pocket every month for that compensation because some didn't even like the vehicle covered up with the Tarp. We have kids in school here we love ot here why are we having to pay extra just to live here

Changes need to be made. Catch up with the times. Some restrictions, like making sure vehickes/boats are registered & not just falling apart.

we are a growing city, this city is for everyone, singles, families, retirees and snow birds.. We all pay taxes one way or another... So please stop taking our Rights away.. I don't owned a boat or a work vehicle but I think is unfair to those that are working so hard to support their families..

Small business owners should have the right to park thier work vehicle in front if thier driveways. Why not? I'm in favor of these hard working business owners having this right.

This is no longer a retirement community. Retirees need to find something to do so they don't have such time on their hands to look at their neighbor's yard. Most people entertain in their backyards so these vehicles would not be something you would be staring at anyway. This city needs to consider all the residents not just the older/retired/snowbird population.

We are a growing community with many young families, we should be allowed to park a work vehicle in our driveways of our private residences on which we pay taxes for.
