I have had it for 2 years and I'm TIRED of dealing with the focusing issues, no matter what I have tried!

Miss focuses more than it focuses. Most shots are extremely soft. Improves slightly with bright sunlight. Had Canons my whole life but regret my purchase of the 7D -

Ive had my camera less than a year and HATE it! I've sent it back to be repaired and was told it was fixed. It still has focusing issues and Canon won't do anything. I've lost all continence in this camera and don't want to continue having to send it in.

when trying to focus metering is always jumping to guess shutter speed. If you go to higher ISO it calms down some, however you end up getting grain from the higher ISO. I call them and always have to send 7D in to them. Never gets fixed or works just trying from their advice on the phone.

i Have a Focus issue with my 7d as i see trough the viewfinder and use a back button focus and get confirm and pres the shutter button just part of second after the confirm comes the image gets blurred in viewfinder and my shot is soft and out of focus
i shoot birds while they are sitting still with Canon 300m f4 is L and 1.4 Ii TC and it is same problemon 70-200 f4 is and 50mm f1.8 always get soft shots mabu one of ten is ok but in very close distance for small birds it seems less unfocusing in close up shots i think it is because the 300mm focus as close as 1.5 meter in closeups
Got worse after getting newest firmware

I am at work and don't know the serial number of my camera by heart ... but still want to sign the petition. I don't have a focus issue with my 20D - regardless of the lens I'm using. I feel like this is an issue that Canon should solve, because I spent good money to upgrade to get what I thought would be a better camera.

my canon eos 7d is very depressing and disappointing...so 'out of focus' and 'soft focus'
I think about this camera all the time, it bothers me a lot, wasted my hard earned money. now I can't concentrate with my work

My Canon 7D is not even 2 years old and its always had a very soft focus....I have thought it was me all this time - but it's not. It doesn't matter what lens I use, I still get the soft focus. I shoot with a 50mm 1.8. 70-200mm and a 17-50. Ridiculous that this is happening. I can get sharper with my $300 canon point and shoot.

I have had this camera for two years. When used in automatic, the focus is crisp, but in all other modes it is soft. This has been a very confusing and disappointing setback for a budding photographer.
