I Have been a Canon DSLR user for many years and this camera is the worst ever. Image Quality is poor and auto focusing hit and miss at best. And now the camera cannot communicate with the battery which is again a common problem Canon should have recalled the camera for.

I am frustrated using Canon 7D, as its ability to capture sharp images, particularly with Av mode and low light.
Tried with all the possible setting

This is my 4th Canon DSLR... I love Canon camera's but they should stand behind the 7D in offering a solution. Thanks... RH

This problem started after I had the 7D into Canon for cleaning and servicing after a dusty photo tour. It has been driving me BONKERS as to what the heck is going on. I have spent uncountable man hours trying to figure this out and I still have the issue. What is Canon going to do about this?

At times, miine won't even attempt to focus. It will either focus or not. The "unable to acheive focus" light constantly flashing when problem occurs and it happens in all lighting and contrast situations.

Had this camera approximately 12 months and have never been happy with the focusing or IQ. Sent in for repair once but no real improvement. Mainly take motorcycle racing pictures so use panning for 50% of shots. I use single point AF with a 100-400 and a 300mm f2.8. Also used AF point expansion. Almost at the point of disillusionment with this camera with no help forthcoming from Canon. Been using Canon since 1989 with multiple L, lenses. Hope there is some resolution to these problems.

Here is my email to Canon…
Dear Canon,
I have been a committed fan of your products for many years. As a member of a local camera club I have stood up to the Nikon loving photographers that claim to possess a superior product, proving my point with award-winning photographs.
I started my photography hobby (addiction) with your film- Rebel and progressed to the digital- Rebel, 30D and presently the 7D. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of lenses ranging from macro to 2.8 300mm. Compact cameras- G9, G11 and presently the G16. I have never been disappointed in a single product until now. 2012 my husband purchased a 7D for $1659.04 as a gift for me. The auto-focus has never consistently worked and I have been forced to revert to using my 30D for important events, fearing inadequate photos. October 2013 I experienced a blacked-out viewfinder while shooting my son's soccer game. Canon Repair Center first told me that the the camera was damaged because I used it in the rain, when I explained that it was a beautiful sunny day they told me the damage occurred because I shot a picture at the sun. With no other option, I explained that the auto-focus also needed to be repaired because it had never worked properly and paid the $341.69 to get my camera fixed. Due to family issues and my hesitance to trust the camera, I didn't have the opportunity to use it until a few months had past. At that point it once again became obvious that the AF wasn't able to catch shots as well as my 30D. I called the repair center March 25, 2014 and was told to mail the camera back, "it is still under warranty from the previous repair". They received it and emailed me a bill for $247.80 -Out of warranty charge. I called once again to dispute the charge and was told that a request to not be charged is submitted and I should have an email back by Friday with an answer.
I'm tired of calling, waiting, emailing, packaging and mailing back this camera. With over $2000 invested in a camera th
