S100 camera achieves focus lock, but shutter will not fire.

It has been a nice camera for 2 years. After the shutter problem occured the camera is nearly useless... Video works but my X929 does it signaficantly better.

My s100 worked great for a couple of years but now the shutter lags. I would greatly appreciate the camera to be fixed.

My Canon S100's shutter will no longer fire. Canon should have a repair for this, regardless of warranty status. I had to go out and buy a SONY, but would like to restore my faith in CANON. Help.

same issue, I can't use my camera like this. If Canon doesn't solve the problem quickly I will never buy Canon equipment anymore!

This issue is really hindering my photo-taking! It can be really frustrating after holding on to the shutter button and the photo is not taken.

I rarely use this camera anymore it's become so annoying. I even sent it back to Canon under warranty and they didn't fix it. They won't even admit that the problem exists.

Shutter on my Canon PowerShot S100 usually does NOT work, I miss many images I would like to capture. Camera is now about 2.5 years old, worked fine for the 1st year, and suddenly shutter stopped working most of the time. - Any help Canon could provide would be invaluable. thanks, joel

Shutter button not working on Canon Powershot S100. Cummon Canon pull your finger out, why do your high end powershot cameras has so many flaws? Canon G9/10/11/12 scratches on lens elements, G9-12 & S90-100 lens errors & now faulty shutter buttons. These are not disposable cameras we are talking about but semi pro compacts!!! Do the decent thing & stop hiding under rocks & sweeping things under the carpet. The world is talking to you here so act accordingly. & now

Why even pay 170 when you can find a refurb s110 for about $130 USD
