Back in my day we had proper names Mr... Potato, and we went to school while bombs were being dropped around us! We went to school in the trenches, and in the tanks, and in the weapons given to us by our glorious country. WE did not have the luxury of peace as you did, WE had to go to the toughest school, the school of war.

I believe that youngun's today have no proper sense of what a "negative manner" is. In my days, "negative manner" meant attempting to take over the world! I suggest you stop this feeble twaddling and take proper responsibility for yourself!

As Prime Minister of England I suggest we all calm down and have a nice cup of tea before considering any serious motions such as the cancelling of your petty tests. But, if you feel it is a cause worthy enough for contemplation just remember all those who died in the service of a much greater cause, defending Merry Old England, and you will feel all your complaints fade away. Just keep calm and carry on, and I'm sure you'll get over it after your Spring Break.

You think you know Hitler? You think you have stared into the face of evil as I had when I watched London burn around me, all thanks to that genocidal tyrant? You think you have the right to evoke such a name in common discussion without first sacrificing the blood of you and your family in order to stop him? AS PRIME MINISTER OF ENGLAND, I WILL ORDER YOUR EXECUTION FOR SUCH BLATANT DISREGARD OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND PROPER IN THIS WORLD. THE WORLD WILL WATCH YOU BURN AND THEY WILL LEARN.

And by the way I believe that most of us were very respectful with our opinions and I believe most of us aren't trying to disrespect our teachers. From the comments I have read, I have not seen a lot of disrespect to our teachers. This petition is not about attacking teachers or disrespecting anybody. Most of us just want our opinion respected without bashing us about being lazy, spoiled, or other comments that attack our work ethic. Now that is disrespect. Try to understand that we have our own lives and problems too. What if the person who made this petition had two parents that just went to prison over the snow days, had dance activities that lasted three hours a day, and struggled with dyslexia? What if they had to stay with their aunt who had a dysfunctional family? Would you call him lazy then or spoiled? Before you judge us for wanting change, think about it. This very thing while unlikely could be a case for a student.

I just wish everyone would accept that the petition is harmless and is only a suggestion. Not everyone wants to necessarily cancel them, but some people just want a revision of the schedule that will better accommodate their lives. I wish some of the Alumni would stop attacking the current ARGS students about being lazy or some teachers can stop saying that the students are taking the EASY way out. A simple petition as a request from our students has turned into a lightning rod for insults on the students, alumni, and teachers. ARGS alumni we get your points about how hard it was for you, but with all due respect it is unfair to call us lazy and to assume that we are trying to skip exams to be easy. Most of us, Ivan not sure about the starter of this petition just want a change to be made if it can be made. We are not "SPOLIED!" Asking for a change or speaking out because you have an idea does not warrant all these attacks that some of you put on us.

Garvey to say you could care less about what we say is a slap in the alumni faces. No we would not have been disrespectful and we probably would have gotten it changed if we really wanted it (not that really any of us would have cared).
ARGS is a family. Faculty, Staff, Student, and Alumni... we have always been there for that school. Your "peaceful" manner started out in a professional manner that quickly spirally into the faculty and staff not caring about the students. You attacked them and lost what credibility you had as a united voice.

Paul you said earlier that no one important in the school cared about the students. If you wanted for the school to take you seriously, it needed to be in a professional manner and not so openly disrespectful. When the student voice can be professional and respectful is when it will be heard.

Hah, back in my day we had to walk through 6 feet of snow half the year. And the other half of the year it was *at least* 200 degrees. And it was uphill both ways, for five miles on a good day. Now we have these young whippersnappers with their newfangled gadgets and their 'canceled exams' and their 'cellular telephones'. Back in my day we respected our elders.
Once you younguns get out into the real world you'll see that you're expected to work 30 hours a day, 8 days a week. Why don't you learn yourselves some responsibility?

Yes, exams are literally the most important things that will ever happen in your entire lives. Without all that last-minute cramming, you might shrivel up and die from the lack of knowledge.
You'll be applying to colleges when the admissions officer says "Wait, you didn't have semester exams that one year?" And then you get rejected from every single college ever. Even the ones you didn't apply to; they send you a letter of rejection because they feel that strongly appalled with your lack of exams. So you try to go to a community college, but they turn up their noses disgusted at the very thought of a student who didn't take semester exams. The army, the navy, McDonalds, Walmart, they all laugh at you as you try to apply without having taken semester exams. As you pass by a local hobo, he laughs. "Hey, I may be homeless and struggling to survive, but at least I'm not *that* guy."
Decades later, when aliens invade, they stop for a moment and consider the possibility of mercy. Then they notice that ARGS didn't have semester exams in 2014. "What barbarous madness is this?" they exclaim, and destroy earth in their astonished rage.

If they say "no", the proletariat will rise up to destroy the foul capitalist pigs. Only glorious communisms in ARGS. Students of ARGS, unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains!
