The district finally decided to cancel classes for today. I am exhausted from the constant back and forth but relieved that the students are staying home where it is safe.

Final supporters
With a parking ban in order until Tuesday, and a winter storm advisory for Seekonk Ma, there is a great risk for the students at Seekonk high school. Students risk dangerous driving conditions and 60+ mph winds expected, along with dangers with walking to school when sidewalks from Thursday's storm still have not been plowed. Seekonk keep your students safe and cancel school rather than have a 2 hour delay.

We hit 250 signatures tonight even though the process feels like hitting a brick wall. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the conditions outside are getting worse by the hour but I am not walking away from this.

I have loved ones that attend the seekonk public school and they mean a lot to me please do not put them in a dangerous state for a school day that can be made up in the end.
With the snow only supposed to be stopping at 5am tomorrow, 2 extra hours are not going to be beneficial to get the whole town plowed. It is unsafe for all the students driving to school, along with parents that have to drop kids off at school. Just cancel school, it's for the good of everyone.
Making a two hour delay won't benefit much. The roads with still be in horrible conditions and not to mention that the wind speeds will be at 60 mph. It's not safe.
Last time they didn't call for a snow day when conditions were bad, I fishtailed into oncoming traffic and was almost hit head on. I would also like to mention that this happened on my birthday. So if the roads are bad I will not be going to school tomorrow, snow day or not.
If there's a parking ban, then us terrible New England drivers should not be on the road, no matter the time

I witnessed two car accidents and was almost involved in one myself due to the road conditions.... why do we have school tomorrow?
