The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning for both Wednesday and Thursday in Oakland County because of the forecast for extreme windchill. Frostbite can occur in an extremely short period of time because of the low temperatures and wind. It is unsafe for school to be held during these two days for this reason. Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan has signed a state of emergency due to the extreme cold. We are requesting that school be canceled for these two days to ensure the student body’s safety.
