I am calling on The Hon. Natalie Hutchins MP to save our Festival. I implore the Honorable Minister to use her discretionary powers to allow this much needed economic boost to this town to proceed. The town of Charlton which is struggling through a drought needs the Maitreya Festival for badly needed funds for our clubs, business's and services. The Maitreya Festival provides money, hope, cultural diversity and a terrific amount of good-will to this town and the surrounding areas of the Buloke Shire.

I ask you to over-turn Buloke Council's decision to NOT issue a permit and ask you to use your powers to allow the Maitreya Festival to continue. Thousands are looking forward to recreating the magic they shared last year on the majestic Wooroonook Lake. Surely late permits are no reason to deny artists, patrons and locals the chance to express themselves at a location they all love and care for.

The Maitreya Festival is a cultural music event loved and visited by people from all over the world.

We need to hit 500 signatures before I hand this list over to Minister Hutchins. Text three friends right now and tell them to add their names to this push.

I have been in contact with local business owners who rely on this festival for their survival. Call Minister Hutchins today and demand that she intervenes to grant the permit for our town.

I spoke to a small business owner from a neighbouring town on the way home last year...she was thrilled with Maitreya... Said she made more money that weekend than she had done all year! Your local community can only benefit from this awesome event!

We would love to bring revolutionary 3D Art and Technology to Charlton and the Buloke Shire, don´t let yourself get disconnected from the fruits of your culture and the benefits of global exchange. All the best from Berlin, Germany

Please do what you can to help the parties involved sort this out. Small rural towns are desperate for large events such as this to come to their area. Overall Maitreya was a huge success for Charlton financially and was also a fun event to be part of. We don't want to lose it

This festival brings roughly $100k into Charlton - a small country town that has struggled through drought and floods. It is so good for the town, let alone the thousands of people that come to enjoy the festival.

This festival is a unique forum for expressing art and individuality. I am a sculptor who gets amazing world wide exposure through festivals such as this. Please allow this freedom of expression and invention to continue.

Please help save our Maitreya festival which brings a huge economic boost to Charlton. Charlton has been struggling since the floods a few years ago, and the boost from this festival is a huge help providing income and visitors to the town from all over the world. Thank you.

Save it. The whole atmosphere is just so positive and happy. The revenue raised by the thousands that attend surely is nothing to be sneezed at. So many people, businesses and towns benefit from this occasion. Please, please, please listen to the people.

This festival is known around the world and is keeping Charlton afloat. Please make sure you support it. The Council CEO is the main problem he has personally opposed and blocked this festival and he needs to stop
