Student Petition for Urgent Action on Hostel Issues
We, the undersigned students of NUST, hereby petition the University Management to urgently address the following unresolved hostel issues:
- Lack of Wi-Fi, affecting our academic performance.
- Unfinished renovations, leaving us in unsafe living conditions.
- Delayed maintenance and poor service response.
- Security concerns due to broken lights and doors.
- Poor quality and quantity of meals served.
- High hostel fees not matching the standard of service provided.

Lack of WI-FI in our flats Imagine being sick but have to go to lecture building just to do your homework in this winter. It's no fun at all.
The amount of times mince is incorporated into meals each week is too much, it should alteast be reduced to twice a week
The fact that there is no Wi-Fi in the hostel is really inconvenient, because we have online work to be done. There are students like myself, that study at night or use night hours to complete work because of the many classes during the day, and having to go out into the cold just to see updates or submit work is frustrating.
I signed the petition because we don't have some crucial commodities that should be provided by the hostel,such as: * Hostel WI-FI *The promised washing machines *Serving of sufficient food *And the peaceful study environment for the Hostel students only, unlike the cafeteria.
Hand washing sometimes is quiet frustrating for one as it old fashion and outdated. One has to find a nearest laundry place to do their laundry even. Hence may the relevant authorities please install the machines that have been bought already.

Yes, especially the wifi situation we have. It's such an inconvenience for us that want to study in the rooms but have no access to internet.

As paying residents, we are deeply concerned about the lack of Wi-Fi in our rooms despite high hostel fees, are we only paying for electricity and water? The quality of food and cleaning services is also below standard. The current conditions are not conducive for students at a university of science and technology, and meaningful improvements must be made. We need change! We want change! We are tired!
