In House Counsel Call to Action - Condemn Terrorism

We, as in-house lawyers, join our colleagues in condemning unprecedented crimes against humanity carried out by Hamas against innocent men, women and children in Israel. We call on our colleagues in the legal profession to stand together with us against this ultimate expression of bigotry and jew hatred.
Since the mass atrocities of October 7, 2023, we have followed the words and actions of those with whom we do business and others in our legal community – our law schools, the law firms we engage, the banks we work with and a host of other third-party vendors. Some have been unequivocal in their moral stance against terrorism, antisemitism and hate. Others have issued watered-down statements appearing unwilling to fully condemn prejudice and hatred when confronted with Jewish suffering. And others remain silent. We do not understand the “other side” of slaughtering babies and torturing women and children held hostage. There is no room to be neutral. And we have decided that we can no longer remain silent or neutral.
We call on our law schools, and law firms, and banks, and other third-party vendors that support our businesses to unequivocally denounce terrorism and hate against Israel and the Jewish people in an uncompromising manner, and to act and behave in a manner consistent with that denouncement and to refrain from hiring those who support Hamas and their crimes against humanity. We will act consistently by voting with our feet and our dollars.
We stand for peace. We affirm the right of all people – Jews and non-Jews – to live in peace and security, and we wholeheartedly reject the moral equivalence of bloodthirsty terrorists, and Israel’s imperative to defend its population.
