When someone is in an authority position, they are automatically held to a higher standard. Especially when you are an elected official. No matter what the situation is, and the race that you are, at the end of the day we all bleed red.

Telling a 19yr old girl “ Baby be quiet before I have you deported” because she messaged you on fb saying “ You are an embarrassment to Memphis and to our students please resign from your job you stupid b.”& Also - “please stop using those filters love. They don't make you any pretty” ??
So, you stooped to the Race Card ? You a Public Official of the School Board of all places ?? What are we supposed to tell Our children & grandchildren when they see your hot mess on the news ?

This board members actions are unethical and unprofessional. In some states, threatening to have someone deported is considered to be a crime. Many Towanna Murphy's social media comments are an embarrassment to the schools and the community that she serves. Is she aware that many of her constituents are Hispanic. I am appalled that this school board continues to allow this board member to embarrass the school system in which she is supposed to represent. This is one reason that I strongly support a state intervention. Enough is enough.
