Call for Resignation: School Board Member Towanna Murphy Must Step Down

Please remove her ASAP

Can trust someone with that thinking. Are our kids safe with people like her?

Unacceptable! Our children deserve better role models in the Education system! Unprofessional!

Music videos about a cat AND cussing throughout.. Now racist comments?? But Dr. Feagins was the problem? Got it!

Please fire her.

It only took a few votes to get Dr. Feagins out but over 600 still won’t get Towanna Murphy out.

Ms. Murphy demonstrates unprofessional behavior and racist attitudes with no genuine remorse.

There’s no room for racism on this earth, in this country, our city and much less our school board

A comment from Facebook to which I agree with “Yea time to gone and get her outta there. I don’t trust anyone talking like that leading anything with education” 901 born and raised and I don’t want someone like Towanna on school board…especially with the Hispanic population in these schools. Someone like her with that mindset and character should NOT be allowed to keep on board.

She needs to go she is not helping our students or teachers and needs to go !

Racism should not be permitted in schools

As a Mexican-American born and raised in Memphis, I am disappointed that a SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER acted so disrespectful on social media. She defines herself as a community activist yet should racism to members of the Hispanic community in Memphis. I believe she has no regrets from her remarks due to a video she posted on her facebook stating that she would “clap back”. No punishment? Unfair… she deserves to resign.

She does not represent the values and respect a governing member of the school board should.

She needs to go this her behavior is unacceptable
