Call for Resignation: School Board Member Towanna Murphy Must Step Down

Clearly unfit for leadership.

This was very unprofessional,inappropriate, negative and just mean. Miss Murphy should know better. These behaviors are normal for her being very confrontational . If she can’t take criticism what type of example is setting for the children. How dare she say she is from South Memphis like all people from South Memphis act that way…. No ma’am….

Her vote to get rid of Feagins is enough for dismissal. This incident should be the final straw for her.

Murphy is a disgrace to MSCS and should have been removed during the Dr. Faegans debocle. Now she thinks she is immune to repercussions. She must step down.

A code of conduct should be upheld by members of a Board of Directors and Ms. Murphy has not shown that she is capable of this type of behavior.

Resign!

A distasteful, disrespectful, and an embarrassment to our community !!! Nothing about her says leader!!

She needs to go , should have never been elected

We do not need prejudice people of any sorts on our school board. The schools have multiple races and this should be treated as hate speech.

She shouldn’t be working for any school especially the special education!

She simply need to be held accountable.

No board member should EVER be able to speak like this. She’s supposed to uphold an image. She’s making not only Memphis look bad but also MSCS!

She should resign immediately and not be paid a cent.

Been waiting for this day, she needs to go!! This is one of MANY incidents she has put herself in a position that is distasteful and not honorable to the whole community, which undermines the position she holds in the first place. BYE FELICIA!

Ms.Murphy is an embarrassment to our city. Her behavior does not represent the type of leadership that I can respect. I’m a teacher, as well as a parent to a child in our district.

Racism if any form, harassment, and discrimination should not be tolerated in any level. Having a zero tolerance policy builds trust with the community and keeps members in line.
