Ireland seriously needs to change its justice system! It's disgusting the lack of care the victims get! And all these rapists get a life of education and spend feck all time in jail it's disgusting!! They all should get life!!!
Absolutely agree the current system is well past its sell by date and does nothing to help protect victims either in its soft sentencing policy or by the attitude of its judiciary. Time to bring it all into the 21st century and to actually ensure that the law is a deterrent to sexual abusers.
proper sentencing tariffs so that their sentences reflect those sentences that their victims are doing.
The judges are way too lenient in this country. It is a total joke honestly! These monsters get a slap on the wrist and walk free while the victim suffers forever. Needs to change now.
Too many soft sentences. Victims deserve way more respect from the court than they get right now
I would favour mandatory sentencing for Rape and sexual abuse

The Judiciary need to be re-trained in dealing with abuse cases. They have not got a clue about the impact it has on survivors. The DPP are equally deplorable!
